Let’s begin with the lead generation secrets right away
1 Free video course leads
Video marketing is the bomb, free video courses are the bomb and the ninja star (and everything) for collecting leads, and the way to do them is this:
– record a series of educational videos on whatever topic you choose and publish them on a separate domain, or you can publish them on a separate page on your blog, whatever works best for you, just make them followups like:
‘watch this video and at the end you’ll find the link to the next one’
…you get the point.
– after a number of videos give people the chance to take a look at your advanced video course (or pdf course etc) you have on the same topic, you can also do that at the end of the video series, or at the end of each video, and let them give you their email so you could send them the advanced killer guide you have for them.
You’ll be amazed how many people will get in to see what they’ll get, actually almost everybody will subscribe.
Video has been the best way to generate sales for a while, and now it’s the best way to get leads as well.
You are probably like:
‘who’s gonna see my videos?’
There are plenty of ways to get traffic to the video series like if you have a blog already, you can link to your video series from the menu, or footer… if not, you can run some cheap paid ads and place huge sharing buttons on each video to get social traffic.
2 Ebay Leads
That’s right, Ebay is a gangsta marketplace to not only use for selling and buying, but to get lots and lots of leads.
Here’s what you need to do:
Create an eBook and list it for a dollar or two (I’d list it for a lot more though)… then you have two options to ask for emails (might be more, these came off the top of my head now, share if you think of others)
– link to a capture page that would send people to a video review of your book after they submit their email.
Everybody loves videos and you will get a ton of leads, not to mention you will make sales as well.
– Those who purchase your book will pretty much want to purchase from you again even if they don’t know it yet… believe me, money is in the upsell, even Spock thinks so LOL…
…meaning you have to give them an option to subscribe to receive updates and basically stay tuned, if you do a good job with the ebook, people will open almost each email you send and buy every other ebook you create.
3 Contest Leads
Give away stuff and make it available to those on your list only.
To pump it up even more, make the contest something like:
Share this page with all your friends all over the social networks and win an ipod, or an ipad, or whatever… you’ll get a lot of social traffic, and even more leads. Then announce the winner publicly and next time you run such a contest you will get twice the traffic and leads.
4 Exit Popup Leads
Popups are the best way to collect leads… with a blog.
And you should not use them with caution because they annoy people like most buffoons say on their blogs, you should use them exclusively.
You should have a popup on your very first page load, then you should have an exit popup to capture those leaving your site…
…only if you want to collect lots of leads though, if you want to run a blog for fun, then you can pass on this incredibly effective lead generation technique.
As for the people that would get annoyed by your popups – damn them, let them go read about kittens on Pinterest, you don’t need them on your site anyway.
I’ve collected most of my leads via my popup, I’ve tested everything on the market and nothing works as good as OptinMonster (this is an affiliate link, if you buy it, I get a commission, yet that doesn’t change the price in any way, If not – you lose… me too LOL).
