I have a tools section but have never really written about the software I use to run my awesome online business… and you can too.
Most people who seek to make money online don’t quite get the importance of internet marketing tools… mainly because they want to make it for free.
Read this if you want to make it for free as well:
Building a business with no tools is like building a house with no tools – it just ain’t going to happen… unless you know magic LOL.
Let me tell you what I use, love and recommend.
The first tool you need is an autoresponder… and not just any autoresponder, you need the best.
I use Aweber, some people prefer Getresponse, yet they had hired a big time marketer to lie they were the best (sorry, to promote them) before I went to check them out, which was the first sign they suck, then after using them for a week (time I can’t get back) I now can tell you they are alright if you are a wannabe marketer…
…but I don’t wanna speak ill of the dead LOL.
Ok, that joke might have been too much, but they say dark humor is for the smart, and I know you are such.
Aweber all the way.
You know what I like most about the Genesis theme?
It’s so popular there are all kinds of tutorials and plugins to customize it to your needs.
You can build a $10k site with it with just a few Google searches… like I did.
I rock The genesis theme and even though I had never coded before installing it, I managed to create an awesome, fast and highly optimized for marketing blog.
How did I do it?
I’ll give you an example with my logo.
I did not know how to make my logo responsive, and to be honest I did not care to know… but a few years ago mobile responsiveness started becoming huge and I had to do it.
Back then I wasn’t rich yet, had just lost my offline business and was in a pretty fucked up situation, I had no money for a designer so I had to pimp the logo myself.
I went to Google and typed something like:
‘Genesis responsive logo’
and came upon a cool free plugin called: Genesis Club lite
and there it was – a cool responsive logo with just a few clicks.
It’s not just the logo, there are a gazillion cool code snippets and plugins for the Genesis theme that help you customize your look to your needs.
I have been using this tool since they launched it back in the day. It doesn’t get old.
They had major problems in the beginning, but we lived through that, it wasn’t that much fun, yet I guess shit always happens.
It’s not a regular lead generation tool, it is special… mainly because it was made by people who get marketing.
They converted it into an app, yet I’m still using the plugin…. not a big fan of these self hosted apps.
The after post form and the popup convert the highest… to my experience. The exit intent technology is also badass, I use another tool for it, will tell you about it in a sec.
And I mainly listed optinmonster here because its price is totally the best compared to similar tools. The pro version is like 200 bucks a year… and has so many features it’s ridiculous.
I used to hate hellobar, it got blocked by all major browsers and support told me it was some blocking on my end, like I’m some kind of idiot…
…then Neil bought it and probably invested a lot in it, because it is an awesome tool right now.
It’s a bit expensive, but there is a free version that works just fine, I use it.

5 WP Engine
I have tried all major hosting companies (which are all the same since they are owned by one huge corporation) and can tell you they suck balls…
…Hostgator and Arvixe are the worst though, I’d never use them again, even if they paid me instead of me paying them.
WP engine are the only hosting company I’d recommend. Not only do they manage all the boring shit like compression, minifying, browser cashing, image optimization etc, but their servers are the best, I even have no idea how they manage to do that good.
I don’t use them any more, since I have my own servers, and local provider… for the time I used them (about 6 years) I never had one single issue (that’s right, not one) with them… and you should know the only way to build a huge site is powerful hosting.
Wp engine rock.
