Why did I decide to write this article?
Cause it’s a mess out there. I get several emails each day from people thanking me for the frankness… one person, who read my book, emailed me:
you are a breath of fresh air in the internet marketing niche, thank you, I’m so glad I read you book”
I know it sounds like I’m full of myself, but I don’t care, I’m honest, people like that and I feel awesome for it.
Anyway, it’s a mess out there and people struggle, you might have been lied as well, it’s totally normal with all the fakers looking for newcomers to sell…
…I also believed the so called “gurus” in the beginning, they sure know how to do one thing – sell.
I mean, there is nothing wrong to make money, but people take it too far.
And I decided to tell you about it and save you the headaches.
“Gurus” advise people to position themselves, and positioning really is the name of the game, but they forget to tell people how…
…so the following happens:
People show off with houses and cars they don’t have, they buy fake money on Ebay (yep, saw stacks of fake money the other day for marketing purposes), they post quotes to try to motivate and all kinds of crazy shit.
Next time you see someone do this, just knot they are just a wannabe marketer trying to impress you… and you know how vital your social environment is, it’s not a good idea to hang around such people, unless you want to be like them.
I don’t show off… and I have both – the money and experience to do so. I don’t have to, I’m more about helping people, cause that’s what it’s all about.
If you want to make sales and be liked, show people you can solve their problem right now, they don’t care about you past, they don’t care how much money you have… yes, money and cars impress, but as a friend of mine once said:
“showing off is hillbilly marketing”
I don’t know if you will get that joke, so I’ll say it another way: jealousy marketing works, but it attracts the weak and gullible.
Most entrepreneurs who fail online, tend to do it because they listen to the wrong guy.
Positioning is important, and the best way to do it is by being yourself, not by faking whatever you could to make a sale. Sadly, too many marketers make the mistake to believe it is the latter.

How to separate fake from real
1 Real marketers who actually make money online don’t spend their whole lives on Facebook posting how cool they are, or how much money they make and what they buy, or how they make money while they sleep and the like…
…they spend their time running their businesses and use Facebook as an additional way to reach more customers. And this happens by developing cool pages, groups and profiles to get people involved with. As a matter of fact, when you have a real business going, you will hardly find time for Facebook.
Showing off on Facebook is nothing more than a stupid way to get a few people interested in you, and all the rest pissed by how pompous you are. It doesn’t hurt to do it occasionally, but again there is a proper way to be done.

2 Real marketers online do NOT spend their whole lives on Warrior Forum, or any other forum… forums are an alright way to get traffic for free when starting out and nothing more. You might also find some info there, but I highly doubt it’d be worth it… forums are full of forum marketers who know nothing more than forum marketing.
Most people who have 10,000 posts on there are fake. They might know something related to the forum topic, yet they are not what they pretend to be for sure. Marketers who have real businesses don’t have time for forums. Of course there are some exceptions, however they are rare.
3 Real marketers are additionally good at business, and not just at shooting videos, talking or SEO. Marketing is the department that drives business, real wealth though comes from running a business, and not from just marketing campaigns.
4 Real marketers have a cool, friendly attitude… they don’t have the time to talk stupid about other businesses and people.
5 This one is a biggie, so I left it for last:
Marketers online who make money and are real would never waste time on one on one coaching for free, or any other free activities. They would never give their advice, service or business approach for free or little money.
This is business we are talking about here and we are all in this game for the money. If you don’t sell, you don’t make money, so stay away from people who always offer free stuff.
Time is money, I don’t mind helping, but I just don’t have the time to teach everyone personally, this is why I run this blog and write crazy ass articles.
Why you should be careful who you listen to
As I already said people most often fail because marketers feed them false promises, and they are naive to believe.
Surround yourself with people better than you and you will succeed.
