Here they are, the email marketing solutions that will help you get your emails opened and not look like a dork… ok, dork might have been too much, not look like e rookie.
Money is in the list… but it’s not, it’s in the sales.
What makes people buy?
What is the first thing that trigger an emotion?
The email title
The title gets people to open your email, not your traffic, not who you are (well, it helps if you are famous), not the super valuable information.
These days when people get slammed with emails it’s even more important to write cool titles that stand out.
What’s a cool title?
Use the form to your right and study my emails, those that make you open my emails are the kind you would want to send to your subscribers…
… but let me give you a few examples:
“Yahhhh buddy! Show time”
By the way, this one has 83% open rate.
“[BANNED Hypnosis video] Open this before it’s removed again”
I borrowed this one from a fellow marketer, possibly the best email marketer on the internet (will tell you who they are when you get on my list, don’t wanna share their name with everybody)
“You are about to miss out on this, your name is not on the list”
you see what I mean, that’s how you write cool titles that get your emails opened.
Once you get people to open them, you have to get them to read them:
Now that you’ve made them open your email you need to get them to take some action with interesting copy. You don’t want to explain yourself like a girl, you don’t want to excuse yourself like a wussy, you don’t have to ramble on and on and never ask them to do stuff…
…you have to get them to take some action.
What does get people interested?
Your first few paragraphs… if they suck, people won’t even bother reading the rest, that’s how low attention span is with all the spam and shit.
There’s not time for:
“Hi, may name is blla bla, and I just wanted to bla bla”
Shoot straight, get to the point by entertaining people.
Email body copy
You can read this to learn how to write emails that sell:
I’ll only add: facts bore, stories sell… and uplifting stories sell anything.
Don’t promote your offer, people don’t like to be sold, show the benefits by storytelling.
Personalized emails are way too overrated, and asking for names decreases optin rates… you can still use names, but it won’t make that much of a difference, some people will feel more comfortable when they see their names, but I don’t know whether the lost leads would be worth it.
Test it and see what works best for, I don’t use names.
You want to write your emails narrow and neat. Use bold, underlined, colored text… but don’t go crazy. Write interesting emails, easy on the eye and fun to read…
…read this to see how to structure your emails the best way:
End of email
The end of the email should not really be an end… it should make people want to read your next email, it should make them want to either take action, or stay on your list.
Don’t be like:
but be like:
“just wait to see what else I got for you”
…which does not mean to promote different things every day, but to get them interested and stay subscribed.
Sequence of emails
This is where almost everybody go wrong, online entrepreneurs think sending too many emails (no such thing when you want to make money with email marketing) would make people unsubscribe faster…
… well, let me give something to think about: I subscribed to this “guru” about a year ago, they email once a week or in two weeks… last time I saw their email I had forgotten they even existed, not to mention I had no clue when and what for I had subscribed to their list.
That’s one of the reasons you have to send emails often. Mailing often will get people to buy or unsubscribe, and you don’t have to care about unsubscribes, here’s why:
I’ll finish strong with:
“Traffic gets you leads, emails make you money”
Here’s how to get traffic:
