That’s what you should work on, and not getting traffic, traffic is easy. The majority of marketers only care about traffic but can’t sell, which is why they don’t make money.
And since every second article teaches how to get traffic, I decided to talk about the essence of marketing – selling.

You will recognize a good seller by the first few emails you get from them. If they recommend their offer in non promotional way, yet at the same time are not afraid to sell (the email copy always shows) then this person knows how to sell…

To really get comfortable with selling, you have to understand rejection is just a part of the game… you can’t please everybody and you don’t have to.
The reason so many people suck at selling is because they are terrified of rejection, so they choose to pitch people indirectly and hope nobody will get mad at them, that’s why they have weird email sequences, write long posts not saying anything and shit like that.
You don’t want to be one of those people, because that will not help you make sales… do the best you can to please as many people as you can, yet don’t try to get everybody to like you. If you do, you will struggle, just because it is impossible to be liked by everybody.
2 Sell by not selling
Again, you have to learn to get people to want your product, to make them come to you, and not follow them around to sell.
You can use blogging to build your authority, so you can expose your offer to them. It is slow and takes a lot of hard work, yet at the end it might turn out to be your best asset… you can write a book, or maybe become famous on social media.
First you become famous and then you choose the most appropriate method of promotion so you could start selling.

3 Lead with benefits rather than with features
Show people why they have to be a part of whatever you have for them. The essence of selling is to give your visitors the best solution to their problem, but more importantly to get them to see the benefits and not the features.

How to make more sales
What really works in the long term is building an emotional relationship with your customers. You have to make them feel good they know you. You have to make them feel good they buy from you.

Have you heard the saying: “money is in the upsell”?
Heck yeah it is.
Upselling makes the big bucks. You need to have a low-cost front end deal, and then as many upsells as you want. This is the way to awesome selling and really making money.
As you can see, selling is a science and the main reason most people don’t make a lot of money online is because they concentrate on traffic only, yet they never learn selling.
