I was just browsing the internet and found an article on a well respected blog (won’t mention names not to offend anyone) about what seo used to be vs what it is now and I got a little mad, I’m not mad anymore though, it’s alright LOL…
…to tell you the truth, SEO is a topic I’m pretty sensitive about, and I get mad pretty easy when I read a misleading article like the above mentioned.
Why do I get mad?
Because Search engine optimization has always been the same (will explain in a sec), and yet there are a gazillion articles about Panda and Shmanda updates, how old SEO was focused on singular keywords and the new SEO is focused on keyword intent and search user needs.
How it was all about spammy backlinks, and now it is about quality such.
How, now, you need to create content that provides real value to the audience and bla bla bla.
I understand people have to write about something to get as much traffic to their blogs as they could, but I thought we had to write articles that made a difference, don’t you think so?
I know you do, that’s why you are reading my blog, that’s why I will always write articles that matter.
SEO has always been the same! It has always been about creating the best possible content for Google’s listings and backlinking the c@#p out of that content with all types of links… and making the whole backlinkng process as natural as possible.
Yeah, you could write a 200 word post and rank with just spammy links in the past, and maybe keep it there for a few months, cause Google weren’t that good at recognizing crappy articles, yeah, you could put up a site around a specific keyword and push it to the from page…
…as a matter of fact you can still do that, but I think it is pointless.
Why would you ever even try to create content that has no value?
Why would you even try to build spammy links only?
Why would you try to build sniper sites?
cause you have a lot of time to waste? or…
These activities have never worked well, they worked before and they work now, but they work temporary… they always have.
Me and everybody who gets SEO and online business in general, and can think, have always been trying to create content that will provide value to the audience, we have always been smart about our link building and have never cared about Pandas and other animal named Google updates.
Here’s what you need to do to rank and what you will always need as long as search engines are search engines:
1 Get a cool domain name (skip this step if you already have a domain)
Choose it like it was your child you were naming.
Most people say the domain name is not that important, and I say they don’t know shit.
Your domain name is as important as your own name. You want to build a business, right? Not just a 30 day gig… then choose an awesome name, something that will make people come back again and again.
I chose wealthmagnate.com as both words – wealth and magnate are my personal favorites, both words are pretty awesome and make you subconsciously already know this blog is huge.
2 create awesome content and optimize it well
3 Once you build up your authority, start building links to all your pages.
4 Build internal links
5 Get on my badass marketing list (using the form down below) so I can send you everything you need to not only rank on page one of Google any time you need, but to market your business in any way you feel like.
Do that and you are all set.
