SEO is boring and a lot of trouble, but it’s the name of the game online… only it’s done a little bit differently these days.
While SEOs keep feeding people how to build conventional backlinks (you need them too as a part of the link profile, yet they alone will not deliver great results), I will tell you exactly how most of them rank their sites on the first page – by using expired high PR domains.
This strategy is quite easy, however you will have to dig deep into your pockets to pull it off. The way it works is you buy high PR domains, transfer them to your host and link to you site using an article link. While guest posting and building conventional links are also vital for SEO, high PR backlinks are solid gold.
They are actually everything Google wants to see – high PR means authority and contextual means relevancy. Additionally, by building such links, you show Google they are actually real authority backlinks, and not just blog comments on a high PR domain.
High PR contextual backlinks are next level SEO, and if they come from the home page of an authoritative site – that is just magic.
Some people like building home page backlinks, some like building blog networks… both these are the ideal SEO strategy forever and people who rank over night use these exact methods to do it.
SEO is all about authority now, while in the past you could easily rank by mass submitting to article directories, now you have to show Google you know what you rank for.

As I said this SEO strategy is expensive, so I’ll give you ideas how to build links for cheap as well…
… but before I begin with the low-budget SEO tactics, I should advice you it is not a very good idea to waste your time with SEO if you don’t have money. While it was almost free in the past, SEO will now take you about 500 bucks a month, at least.
There are much more efficient starting out marketing methods – the most powerful of which is content syndication, however let me point out the not so expensive SEO strategies.
1 Guest posting
while most marketers consider guest posting a direct traffic marketing technique, it is also a really powerful way to build high quality backlinks to you site, which will help you a lot over time. It is very time-consuming, yet highly important if you want to put your name out there as well as rank your pages. On top of that Guest posting will help you build connections, and you know connections are everything.
2 Blog commenting
To be honest bog commenting is a waste of time, but it’s free… if you have money read this:
3 Forum marketing
Again, not that valuable for SEO, however it is totally free and you can do it in no time. It takes knowledge though… it is not a good idea to just go posting like crazy to build links. You better have one quality post, than 50 dumb ones.
4 Conventional backlinks (wikis, edu, web2.0, profiles etc.)
If you build them manually it will take you forever to rank. If you use tools you have to be careful, but is an efficient and quite cheap way to start gaining authority. It’s a good idea to shoot such links to every single blog url you have.
