Do you know what the one thing all successful online marketers share is?
You guessed it – they all produce content regularly, which is the only way to create a powerful community.
And communities start movements.
Actually, there are two types of huge marketers online:
1 Marketers with huge social media profiles, or blogs
2 Marketers who run gigantic paid marketing campaigns
The latter make tons of money as well, yet they don’t have the biggest communities.
There are also people with huge blogs that make funny money, becaus they can’t sell, it’s not easy, but it’s not rocket science.
I’ve searched a few articles for you to learn how to sell:

The science of content marketing is consistency before all!
Quality and emotional content is what makes people share and like your content, and consistency is what makes you huge. I know that’s way to broad as an explanation, so I will be a bit more descriptive.
Take a look at my blog, I have written about 300 and counting blog posts in 2,5 years and about 200 news articles at the news section.
What does that say about me?
1 I’m dead serious about my business
2 I make a ton of money, since I’ve been doing it for so long (I also publish on my personal blog and a few other blogs as well)
3 I know this and that about marketing online and business in general
4 I have a lot of people reading my blog
5 I can sell whatever I want, since I already have such a powerful asset
That’s about all there is to be achieved with a blog.
How did I do It?
By creating content almost daily.
And you know what?
My 20 or so first-published articles weren’t even that special and I had to go back and update them later on, but the important thing here is I kept publishing no matter how good I was.
The more you publish, the better you will get, so you don’t have to worry about quality that much when starting out.
You’ve probably read content is king too many times online, but it really is.
It works slow, but has a way of compounding – the more you post, the more popular you become, the more you rank on Google, the bigger your blog gets.
That’s what happen with my blog. To be honest, I had no idea I’d start ranking with no links when I started the blog, but that’s the power of content.
Now that you know the science of content marketing is consistency before all, here’s a question for you:
Rational or emotional content?
If you answered emotional, you were very right.
Studies show that emotional content gets about two times more likes and shares… not only that, but when you make people happy reading your articles, they actually feel much more like buying anything from you.
When triggered, happiness leads to amazing results, or as I usually say it:
“we buy based on emotion and justify with logic”
Simply said, when you entertain, you sell.
There are several other emotions like sadness, fear/surprise and anger that are also extremely powerful in their own way:
– Sadness helps us connect and empathize
– Fear makes us want to share the experience with others
– Anger leads to more comments (sometimes).
When I was new to online marketing, I though I should always produce rational content as I’ve always been a straight to the point person, yet it turned out this type of content doesn’t get that much attention, because we are creatures driven by emotions and make all of our decisions because of an emotion.
Very few are those who can use their brains first and then make way for the feelings to kick in.
How to optimize your content
When I say optimize I don’t solely mean getting backlinks to it to rank higher on Google.
Although You should rank as many pieces of content as you can on the first page of Google, you should optimize it for your visitors first.
You need to come up with an interesting title, something that will make people read the article… if your title sucks, no one will read and like the article, maybe a handful of people would, but that’s it…
…then, you have about 10-20 lines to catch your reader’s attention, if not, they will just scan though the lines quickly and leave.
The length should be around 1,000 words (and more if you feel like it), as long articles increase the time spent on the site, which is a ranking factor.
You should not get carried away with search engine optimizing your article though, because it will look stupid and people will not read it, and if you get too many links, it might also look suspicious to Google (balance is everything).
Let me know if you liked this article and stay awesome.
