I was thinking a lot whether to write this article, cause I know a lot of people use the internet to kill time and like long nothing-saying articles, but at the end I went with what I do best – write about what matters even if it is a little offensive to some.
In 2011 I came across a marketer, I don’t like to mention names, and bought a pretty expensive product from them… the product was a training that was supposed to cover everything related to internet marketing and making money online.
It really was 30 hours of bla blaing how much traffic Google gets and how to use article marketing robot to spam the crap out of the internet.
I was really pissed at the guy and myself too for letting my emotions control my buying.
Although we buy based on emotion and justify with logic, I have trained myself to not do that… I guess back then I thought I was.
Anyway, I wasted $2k and since I had borrowed the money, I felt really bad… I lived through that, yet later on I was quite happy I had bought that product, it taught the most valuable marketing lesson I could learn – to talk and talk and actually say nothing LOL.
In one of the lessons that was about two hours long (but said this: Wikipedia has tons of traffic, I have no idea why people use it, but they do), I remember the guy introduced a friend of theirs like this:
“meet my friend, the moment I met this guy I noticed he could talk for an hour and not say anything really…”
I said to myself:
“what the fuck is this douche talking about? I paid $2k for this shit so this fucker could talk and talk and never get to the point”
I was that pissed, yet years later I realized what they meant:
Marketing is talking but saying nothing most of the time… damn, that’s another quote that needs patenting, maybe I should write a quotes book.
Anyway, the real reason I decided to write this is the other day I went to buy another one of Seth Godin’s books and then I saw this review:
“Godin is the master communicator of the obvious.”
I still bought the book, but since it’s not just Godin who is a master of stating the obvious, but every successful marketer, I had to write this article to let you know saying nothing is vital if you plan to sell any time soon.
I’ll even tell you how to write stupid long articles, cause for some reason people really love reading them no matter how boring and fluffy they are.
1 Go to Google and type whatever you’d be writing about
2 Read any article you find
3 Start writing and basically use other words to say the same
LOL
4 Don’t forget to paste a million pictures throughout the content
You think this is ridiculous, but that’s what most blogs are all about… and I know cause I read so much I rarely find anything new online (those of you who’ve been around will understand).
last time I checked, there were like 100 million blogs or something like that.
You think they are all unique?
Of course not, they all publish all the same content with a little twist.
Some of us are unique though, or at least try to be… entertaining too, but we are the few who really care, and don’t just publish to get page views for adsense.
Marketing online is a tricky business, what most blogs say works and what actually does work are two different things… try to bookmark and comment for traffic and you will see what I mean.
I have done it all, wasted a few years, but can at least save you the trouble.

I could write 2,000 more words and say the same thing and the article will get a lot more traffic, but I don’t care… I like short articles, here’s why:

Like this article and stay awesome… and I’m going to bed, cause it’s really late now.
